You have to jusitfy the step that leads from sin (x) = a/c and cos(x) = b/c to sin^2 (x) + cos^2(x) = [a^2 / c^2] + [b^2 / c^2].

As you can see go from the first statement to the second by substituting the value of sin(x) by a/x and the value of cos(x) by b/c.

Then, the answer is the option b. substitution property of equality.

Anson estimated he would need 17 hours to complete his science project. He actually needed 19 1 2 19 1 2 hours. What was his per
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

The answer is B. 14.7%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Estimated time need to complete project 17h.

Actually time needed 19\frac{1}{2}h=\frac{39}{2}h.

Difference between the time ET-AT= \frac{39}{2}- 17\\=\frac{39}{2} -\frac{34}{2}\\ =\frac{5}{2}=2.5h.

So, the percentage error is \frac{2.5}{17}\times100\\ =\frac{250}{17} \\=14.70%.

Therefore, the answer is B. 14.7%.

#24 and #25 please help me
Valentin [98]
24).
a).  The equation is

           Balance in my account = 12.5 m  + 100 .

The graph is a straight line with slope = 12.5 and y-intercept = 100.
'm' is the number of months after you start this savings plan.

b).  The part of the Real Estate ad that tells us the cost of land on Mars is cut off.
However much 10 acres will cost, put that number into the equation where it
says "Balance in my account", and solve the equation for 'm'.

25).
a).  It's easy to find four points.  Just let 'n' be 3, 4, 5, and 6, and for each one,
use the formula to calculate what  'S' is.  Yes, if you plot them, they'll all fall in
a straight line.

b).  No.  The value  n = 3.5 does not make sense in the context of the problem.
We're talking about polygons with 'n' sides, and it's very hard to draw or imagine
a polygon with 3.5 sides.
