$8.50 per pair of gloves and $6.50
if person 2 bought 2 less hats than person one and spent $13 less, then 2 hats cost $13. Divided by 2 and 13=6.5. that would make $6.50 the cost of one hat. take another 13 off person 2's total for the hats and you will only have the cost of gloves. $17 for 2 pairs of gloves means that half of that is one pair. that makes $8.50 the cost for one pair of gloves.

Simplify the following question
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

<em>−  2sin(b) / cos(2b)</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

DIFFERENTIATE W.R.T. B is a different method entirely

We simply add together the numerators and set with 2cos

then keep this number and add to sinb and square it.

then repeat initial 2 + cosb ^2 but instead of multiplying its add.

Then set the whole division to -sin (2b) squared then +1

<em> −  2cos(b)(3(sin(b))^2+(cos(b))^2)  /  −(sin(2b)) ^2 +1  </em>

Family has an annual income of $23 comma 400. Of this, one fourth
denis23 [38]

Amount spent for food = $5850, housing = $4680, clothing = $2340, savings = $2600, taxes = $5850, expenses = $2080.

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Step 1:

Given details are Total Income = $23,400

Step 2:

Amount spent for food, F= 1/4th of 23,400 = 1/4 \times 23400

= $5850

Step 3:

Amount spent for housing, H = 1/5th of 23,400 = 1/5 \times23400

= $4680

Step 4:

Amount spent for clothing, C = 1/10th of 23,400 = 1/10 \times 23400 = $2340

Step 5:

Amount spent for savings, S = 1/9th of 13,400 = 1/9\times 23400 = $2600

Step 6:

Amount spent for taxes, T = 1/4th of 23,400 =  1/4 \times 23400 =$5850

Step 7:

Find amount spent on other expenses by totaling all expenditures and subtracting from the annual income.

Annual Income = F + H + C + S + T + E

Amount spent on other expenses, E = 23400 - (5850 + 4680 + 2340 + 2600 + 5850)

E = 23400 - 21320

E = $2080

Which shows the correct substitution of the values a, b, and c from the equation –2 = –x + x2 – 4 into the quadratic formula? Qu
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

a  =  1

b =  -1

c =  -2

Step-by-step explanation:

We reorder the equation in such way that let us see the usual

ax² + bx + c = 0

Then the original quation is:

-2 = - x + x² - 4               ⇒  0 = 2 - x + x² - 4        ⇒ x² - x  - 2  = 0

Now we are able by simply inspection to identify a, b . c comparing our equation with the general equation so :

a  =  1

b =  -1

c =  -2
