The mean is 37, when you put the set of number into order and get the middle numbers (35 & 39), you add them together getting 74 and then you divide 74 by 2 because there were two numbers...Which would get you 37.

Alika [10]

Answer:

Carlos bought 80 feet of wire for $17.60.

Then the price for 1 feet of wire is 17.6/80 = 0.22

=> 30 feet of wire would cost: 30 x 0.22 = 6.6

Hope this helps!

Kitty [74]
The correct answer will be 3.

Why?

If v = m + 3 what is m?

Well it's says that D = m/v and D = 3/6.

So if M is 3, what number can you add my 3 that is gonna equal to V (6).

3 + 3 = 6 and that's how I got my answer.

Why is partitioning different from fractioning?

It follows from the task content that a close analysis of the statement of ratios; 1:3 implies that the whole is divided into four parts; 1+3 = 4.

On the contrary, one-third simply means 1 out of 3 equal parts of the line.
