What point does the ammonium ions act as a buffer solution? Please this is driving me insane.
Shalnov [3]

Answer:

Explanation:The buffer is a mixture of ammonia (NH3) and ammonium (NH4+). ... Since ammonia (NH3) is a weak base, it will have a pH above 7 and since ammonium (NH4+) is a weak acid, it will have a pH below 7. Ammonia (NH3) is a weak base and ammonium (NH4+) is a weak acid. Ammonia (NH3) is the conjugate base of ammonium (NH4+).

If we increase pressure on the gas what happens to the temperature?
irinina [24]

Answer: Temperature will Increase

PV=nRT. Ideal Gas Law

We see by inspection of the ideal gas law, there is a liner relationship between Pressure and Temperature of an ideal gas. So if the pressure is increased on the gas, then the Temperature will increase also.

Before measuring the absorbance of a solution with the ocean optics spectrophotometer, it is important to run a blank sample of
Strike441 [17]
I think the most appropriate answer is: the solvent being used in the experiment
<span>To correct for any light absorption not originating from the solute you will need to calibrate the tools with a solution that most similar to the sample.
Blank covete or standard solution can be used, but it was not ideal. By using the solvent as calibration, you can remove the reading from the solvent so your result only comes from the sample.

A tank contains a mixture of helium, neon, and argon gases. If the total pressure in the tank is 490. mmHg and the partial press
OleMash [197]

Answer: The partial pressure of neon is 173 mmHg

Explanation:

According to Dalton's law, the total pressure is the sum of individual pressures.

p_{total}=p_A+p_B+p_C

Given : p_{total} =total pressure of gases = 490 mm Hg

p_{He} = partial pressure of Helium = 215 mmHg

p_{Ar} = partial pressure of argon = 102 mm Hg

p_{Ne} = partial pressure of neon= ?

p_{total}=p_{He}+p_{Ar}+p_{Ne}

490=215+102+p_{Ne}

p_{Ne}=173mmHg

Thus partial pressure of neon is 173 mmHg
