I can call the points (x1,y1), (x2,y2), and (x3,y3)

Now, plugging in the actual x's and y's

The general form for a quadratic is

Now I can write

(1)
and

(2)
and

(3)
This is 3 equations and
3 unknowns, so it's solvable
Add (1) and (2) to get

Substitute this in (3)

Now substitute and back into (2)
(2)
(2)
Now solve for , then do more substitutions to get and

The solution is

Write an inequality to represent 11 and 20
Effectus [21]

We can use the less than symbol which I have shown on the whiteboard.

Ignore the first example on the top right as that's another example.

So, we can say that 11 < 20 or 11 is less than 20.

How do you solve -15 = 6x + 15-10x
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

-15 = 6x + 15 -10x

1st. You combine like terms

       (6-10)x

      -15 = -4x + 15

2nd. You move variables to the left side and change the sign

      -15 =  -4x + 15

        +4x     +4x

       4x - 15 = 15

            +15     +15

        4x = 30

3rd. You divide both sides of the equation by 4

        (4x) /4 = (30) /4

          x= 30/4

4th. Reduce the fraction by 2

       30/ 4 = 15/2

Answer is 15/2

Given m//n find the value of x and y (5x+1)° (6x-10)° (y°)
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

To find the value of x, use the vertical angle theorem.

Vertical angles are congruent.

Thus we have:

6x - 10 = 5x + 1

Solve for x.

6x - 10 = 5x + 1

Add 10 to both sides:

6x - 10 + 10 = 5x + 1 + 10

6x = 5x + 11

Subtract 5x from both sides:

6x - 5x = 5x - 5x + 11

x = 11

To find the value of y, use corresponding angles thoerem.

When two parallel lines are crossed by a transversal, the angles in matching corners are correponding angles.

Corresponding angles are congruent.

Thus, we have:

y = 6x - 10

Substitiute x for 11:

y = 6(11) - 10

y = 66 - 10

y = 56°

ANSWER:

x = 11, y = 56°
