Let

X= the altitude of the lighthouse above sea level= 80 ft

A = the angle of depression

Y= the distance of the boat from the lighthouse= 400 ft

tan A=X/Y------------------ > 80/400=0.2

arctan (0.2)=11.31 degree

The answer is the angle of depression is 11 degree

The volume, in cubic centimeters, of a fish
tank is represented by the polynomial
model
wariber [46]

The polynomial's maximum value is relative.

Is the maximum relative or absolute?

Here we have the polynomial:

V(x) = 36x^2 - 3.75x^3

Notice that the leading coefficient is negative, so, as x tends to negative infinite, V(x) will tend to positive infinite.

So we only have a relative maximum, because is local maximum (at x = 6.4), but the function can take larger values than that.

You can also check that on the graph of V(x), which you can see below:

Find mean, median and mode of 140, 130, 90, 80, 60, 50, 30, 20, 10, 0
Alecsey [184]
For the mean you would have to add up all the numbers up and divide by the amount of numbers. For your problem you would get 610/10= 61.

For the median you would arrange all the numbers in order from least to greatest and cancel one from the left and one from the right each time. Since there is no middle number, the closest would be 50 and 60. Thus you you add 50+60 and get 110 and then divide by 2 giving you 55.

For the mode, there is no mode because none of the numbers repeat more than once.

I hope this clarifies your doubt. :)
