What were the effects of Belgian rule of the Congo Free State on the
Elden [556K]

Answer:

D) Millions died while trying to produce enough rubber to satisfy the Belgians. (APEX)

Explanation:

The indigenous population was required to provide rubber to the colonizers, but the amount of rubber was unrealistic, and the punishment for this was death. Because of this, great amount of people died or were mutilated (cut off right hand was a "proof" of killing someone, so sometimes people just cut off hands to prove they killed an indigenous person and claim the reward..).

Why do you think former offenders have a hard time fitting back in to society? what consequences can this have on the individual
Lelechka [254]

Answer: I think that former offenders have hard times fitting back into the community because they are judged by their pasts and they become excluded from their social class. They might think differently, act differently, and may want a clean slate. This can cause the individual to become more violence, get into more crime, and drive them away.
