What conditions fostered the rise of absolute monarchs in Europe?

History

Absolute monarchs were also able to use the dispute over religion, which consumed all classes, to rise up as "divine beings" that God had chosen. The intense dogmatism in Absolutist Europe blinded the people, and it allowed Absolutism to reign.

There were several major conditions that fostered the rise of absolute monarchs in Europe, but the most significant was the fact that there was a huge economic gap between the poor and rich, making it impossible for the poor to be represented in government.

Explain why Haiti's struggle for freedom was long and complex
Nezavi [6.7K]
That's because the island was invaded by pretty much everyone even though it was originally a French colony. British and Spanish armies also intervened and every time that the people would win and take control of the island, the French would just send numerous new soldiers to retake it. Just during Napoleon's era, 50 000+ soldiers died from yellow fever only.

Prompt: today many people consider genghis khan a model leader. why do you think this is?
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

He had great physical strength, tenacity of purpose, and an unbreakable will. He was not obstinate and would listen to advice from others, including his wives and mother. He was flexible.

Explanation:

On one end of the leadership spectrum, there is Machiavelli–conniving, ambitious and ruthless. On the other there is Cyrus the Great–humble, generous and loyal. Along this spectrum of great leaders and motivators, used so often in business books, speeches and anecdotes, there is one unmentionable: Genghis Khan. A man so evil, unwashed and bloodthirsty that he is impossible to learn from.

How did congressional neutrality towards slavery in the federal territories actually stir up sectional strife
dusya [7]

Answer:

The neutrality of the congress generated polarization in the country. This polarization caused states where slavery was prohibited to criticize and devalue states where slavery was allowed, which retaliated against devaluation with further devaluation.

Explanation:

When Congress decided to stay neutral in relation to slavery in the country, Congressmen believed that this would generate peace in the country, as each state would have autonomy to decide whether it wanted to use slaves or not.

However, the result could not have been more different. Neutrality generated polarization and many conflicts between countries that allowed slaves and prohibited slaves. Countries that did not allow slavery criticized, devalued and tried to interfere with the autonomy of the states that allowed slavery. The slaves who allowed slavery did not tolerate this interference and retaliated as best they could, in addition to promoting a strong devaluation in relation to free countries.
