Louis and Clark found the discoveries of the west staggering. They saw that the land was stable for future agriculture, and contained many mineral deposits. Seeing that the land was economically stable, they found the purchase to be a great deal. This lead to the Louisiana Purchase. Honestly (this is just my opinion), I don't think that geography had an impact on the Monroe doctrine , but the Monroe doctrine had an impact on those who settled since it
asserted that the Americas were not to be further colonized by European countries but that the United States would neither interfere with existing European colonies nor meddle in the internal concerns of European countries.

Which of the following is a rock composed of non-mineral matter?
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

b) Coal

Explanation:

The rock from the presented list that is composed of non-mineral matter is the coal. This rock is actually composed of organic matter.

The coal is a sedimentary rock. Its basis is organic matter as mentioned. The organic matter has been provided by the trees that have died off, especially the ones from the Permian period.

When the trees died off, they were covered by natural materials that isolated them from the outside influences that would decompose them. Instead, they have been gradually buried deeper into the ground, being exposed to higher temperatures and pressure, which gradually, over the course of millions of years turned the organic matter and the chemicals with which it interacted into sedimentary rock, the coal.

The coal has been the main energy source for the industry, and it was extremely important for the technological advancement in the past few centuries.

Some 6000 years ago, Austronesian peoples (descendants of the early Chinese) migrated into Indonesia, the Philippines, and New G
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

They  share—to a varying degree—common cultural characteristics including widespread traditions and technologies like tattooing, stilt houses, jade carving, wetland agriculture, and various rock art motifs. They also share a common set of domesticated plants and animals that were carried along with the migrations, including rice, bananas, coconuts, breadfruit, Dioscorea yams, taro, paper mulberry, chickens, pigs, and dogs.

Explanation:

Today, no Austronesian languages survive in southern China. Nevertheless, based on linguistic, archaeological, and genetic evidence, Austronesians are most strongly associated with the early farming cultures of the Yangtze River basin that domesticated rice from around 13,500 to 8,200 BP. They display typical Austronesian technological hallmarks, including tooth removal, teeth blackening, jade carving, tattooing, stilt houses, advanced boat-building, aquaculture, wetland agriculture, and the domestication of dogs, pigs, and chickens. These include the Kuahuqiao, Hemudu, Majiabang, Songze, Liangzhu, and Dapenkeng cultures which occupied the coastal regions between the Yangtze River delta to the Min River delta
