There are 6 years that have a lot of main dates but, I will help you create a timeline to sum up 10 important ones within those 6 years.

Explanation:

--In 1914--

July 28 - Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia. Russia begins mobilizing its troops. (Start date of the war)

August 23 to 30 - The Battle of Tannenberg is fought between Germany and Russia. The Germans defeat the Russian Second Army. (Germany had wanted war with the Russians and French)

October 19 to November 22 - The Allies defeat the Germans at the First Battle of Ypres.

--In 1915--

February 4 - The Germans begin to use submarines against Allied merchant ships around the island of Britain. (The Germans had submarines which was a bit advanced to other countries so they used it as an advantage during the war)

May 7 - The Lusitania, a luxury British passenger ship, is sunk by a German submarine. 1,195 civilians were killed. This act sparks international outrage and contributes to the United States joining the war against Germany. (Germans had caused a lot of problems when they killed the thousands of lives causing the American people to team up against the Germans)

--In 1916--

February 21 - The Battle of Verdun begins between France and Germany. This battle will last until December of 1916 and will finally result in a French victory.

July 1 - The Battle of the Somme begins. Over 1 million soldiers will be wounded or killed.

--In 1917--

March 8 - The Russian Revolution begins. Tsar Nicholas II is removed from power on March 15.

--In 1918--

January 8 - President Woodrow Wilson issues his "Fourteen Points" for peace and an end to the war.  

--In 1919--

June 28 - The Treaty of Versailles is signed by Germany and World War I comes to an end. (This is until Germany starts another war with ww2)

National government: The parliament consists of the national assembly and the national council of provinces. The functions of the parliament as enshrined in the constitution are to approved laws and policies of the government. The national assembly comprises members of parliament and each member is elected into the national assembly every five years.  Part of the functions of the parliament is to elect the president and appoint cabinets of ministers.

Provincial government: the provincial governments are nine in total with each of the provinces having a legislature. Each of the provinces has between 30 and 90 members. The provincial governments are responsible for social services such as education, health, provincial treasury, etc. There are also 12 departments in all nine provinces.

Local government: the local government is an extension of the provincial government and each of the local governments has a council where certain tasks are performed which include decision making.  Each of the local governments is also referred to as municipal. Each municipality is responsible for the following functions: local tourism, park, and recreational areas, etc.

Traditional authorities: the traditional councils are to ensure that the original value and the culture of the people are maintained.

Political parties: Political parties are platforms where people can participate and contest in elections.
