150 vehicles had passed Luann.
There are:
=> 6 cars
=> 10 trucks
=> 14 SUV
=> 15 minivans.
How many minivans would we expect to pass out of 150?
=> 6 + 10 + 14 + 15 = 45
=> 15 / 45 = x / 150, where 15 is the number of minivans, and 45 is the total number of vehicles that passed
=> 150 / 45 = 3.333333… repeating decimals
=> 3.333… * 15 = 50
Thus, x = 50, there will be 50 minivans that will pass in LUann

Radian to degree conversion.
4(pi)/3 degrees= 4(pi)/3 × 180/pi radians

As pi radians= 180 degrees
Dividing both sides by pi :
pi / pi radian= 180/pi degrees
1 radian=180/pi degrees

4 × pi /3 × 180/ pi
pi and pi gets cancelled.
180/3= 60
4× 60
=240 degrees

A science class has a ratio of 3 boys and 2 girls. Can there be 24 students in the class?
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

Let 3x be the number of boys

Let 2x be the number of girls

3x + 2x = 24

5x = 24

x = 4.8

3(4.8) = 14.4 boys

2(4.8) = 9.6 girls

There can't be 24 students for a ratio of 3 boys and 2 girls, because there can't be 14.4 boys and 9.6 girls, it has to be an exact number, otherwise it wouldn't make any sense.

For example, you and I are both 1 person, we can't be half a person or 0.6 of a person, only 1.
