Movies reflect the values of US society by:

  • The time in which they are set because this helps the viewer position itself in time regarding the set of values characters might have.
  • The environment, as a war movie, will probably depict different values in comparison to drama located in a major city of the country.
  • The theme, as this will help the viewer understand which values will probably be shown. A war movie will probably show loyalty whereas a drama will show solidarity.

Anvisha [2.4K]
It was significant because it changed how people were represented, meaning that more people got suffrage rights and "rotten burroughs" were removed to prevent extremely rich people from places where there's not many people to have high electoral power. The idea that only house owners can vote was changed to anyone who lives in the UK.

The system of checks and balances failed under Andrew Jackson when he acted against a ruling of the Supreme Court (C). Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the USA.
