The most appropriate answer is C. Because of diseases caused by ozone at the surface of the land most of the respiratory diseases one of which is, asthma, bronchitis, heart disease, or emphysema.

Further Explanation

Ozone (O3) consists of three oxygen molecules and is very dangerous to human health. Naturally, ozone is produced by mixing ultraviolet light with the earth's atmosphere and forming an ozone layer at an altitude of 50 kilometers.

Surface ozone affects health

Even low amounts of ozone can be dangerous for health. Early signs of ozone exposure include things such as eye irritation, dry mouth, coughing, nasal congestion, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest pain in people who are even in good health. If you have experienced conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, heart disease, or emphysema, you can be sure that the symptoms will get worse if you are exposed to ozone.

Infants and children have lower body weight but breathe with a greater volume of air than adults, especially through their mouths. Children also breathe lower air into the ground, closer to the source of ozone produced by air purifiers.

Some studies show that ozone can help reduce any concentration carried by air and stop the growth of viruses, bacteria, and mold. The problem is that to completely decontaminate air, the level of ozone in the air must be 5-10 times higher than what is considered safe to breathe.

The good news is that you can recover from short-term exposure to low-level ozone. Longer and more serious health risks, such as lung disease, can occur when you inhale high levels of ozone or even low levels of ozone for a long time.
