Answer: A development that changed attitudes during prohibition was the introduction of speakeasies. Other answers are explained below

Explanation:

• The conflict between religion and science can be witnessed in the Scopes "Monkey Trial". John Scopes was charged of going against Tennessee law which forbids people from teaching evolution in state school. Scopes did this intentionally in order to create a scene and end the law.

• In the 1920's, the introduction of speakeasies was a development and an illegal way of drinking alcohol. It was seen as a way of consuming alcohol by the upper class despite the ban of alcohol in the United States. Speakeasies brought joy onto the face of people during the time it was prohibited.

• Technology provided Americans with more time for leisure.  In the 1920s, there were labor saving devices and this provided Americans with more time to have fun. Technology encouraged Americans to do more things with their time.

notka56 [123]

The correct answer is - B. Britain was more densely populated in 1911 than in 1701.

Britain had had a steady rise in its population after the Middle Ages finished, and at the beginning of 18th century its population was significantly larger. Than it was noticed a big increase in the population, and this was mainly due to the industrial revolution. The population of the country was growing rapidly, and very soon it doubled in numbers, so by the year 1911, the British population was much bigger, and the island was much more densely populated.

What were some of the failures from the progressive era
mezya [45]

Answer:

Although Progressivism brought greater efficiency to government, established a more equal playing field for business, and increased the political power of ordinary citizens, the biggest failure of the Progressive Era was its exclusive nature. The Progressive Era coincided with the Jim Crow era, which saw intense segregation and discrimination of African Americans. The legitimacy of laws requiring segregation of blacks was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in the 1896 case of Plessy v. Ferguson. The ruling on Plessy thus allowed segregation which represented the institutionalization of the Jim Crow period. Everyone was supposed to receive the same public services but with separate facilities for each race.

so basically, it failed to solve racism and segregation.
