Yes, The San Andreas fault's southernmost stretch has not ruptured since 1680 to 1690. Big earthquakes on this section of the southern San Andreas fault rupture on average every 250 years. Because it has not ruptured in 330 years more stress has been brought apon it, scientists say that when it does rupture it will leave catastrophic damage with an 7.8 magnitude or higher. San Francisco's location along the San Andreas Fault means that the city is, and always will be, prone to earthquakes. After major earthquakes in both 1906 and 1989 which were a 7.9 and a 6.9 in magnitude, the city retained its status as one of America's most important cities by learning from the past as it quickly rebuilt.

Marta_Voda [28]
The correct answer is: landslides or mudslides.

Lava Flows are actually not that dangerous: Lava is very often slow and could even be outrun - so not too many people die due to lava flows.

On the other hand, landslides and mudslides are very catastrophic and can wipe entire villages.
