The x coordinate is the average of the two x values which is 3 in this case since they’re both three. And, the y coordinate of the midpoint is the average of the y values. So add 9+1, then divide by 2. You get 10 divided by 2, which is 5. So the y coordinate would be 5. So the midpoint would be (3,5). Hope I helped! Good luck! :)

Triangle ABC has sides with lengths of 11, 18, and 8 units. Determine whether this triangle is a right triangle.
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

Not a right triangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

If this triangle is a right triangle, then the Pythagorean theorem would work on it. According to the Pythagorean theorem, a^2+b^2=c^2, so c would always be greater than a or b. In this scenario, the greatest number here is 18, so c = 18. Since a or b don't matter if given both legs, we have the following equation that may or may not be equal: 8^2+11^2=18^2. We know 8 squared is 64, and 11 squared is 121, and 18 squared is 324. This means that 64+121=324 according to the Pythagorean theorem, and since 64 + 121 = 185, and 185 does not equal 324, the Pythagorean theorem does not work and the triangle is not a right triangle.

Mrs. McClure's famous peanut butter cookies call for 1 cup of peanut butter for every 1 2 of a cup of oil. Today, she wants to m
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

Amount of butter need for 1 cup of oil = 2 cup of butter

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Amount of butter need for 1/2 cup of oil = 1 cup

Find:

Amount of butter need for 1 cup of oil

Computation:

Amount of butter need for 1/2 cup of oil = 1 cup

1 cup butter = 1/2 cup oil

So,

Amount of butter need for 1 cup of oil = 1 / [1/2]

Amount of butter need for 1 cup of oil = 1 / [0.5]

Amount of butter need for 1 cup of oil = 2 cup of butter

What time is 5 3/4 hours after 11:32 pm?<br> Please show work, thank you.
poizon [28]

we have to first convert fraction of hours into minutes

1 hour is equivalent to 60 minutes

then 3/4 hour is - 3/4 of 60

when the of function is used we have to multiply the 2 numbers

then \frac{3}{4} * 60 = \frac{3*60}{4} = \frac{180}{4} = 45

3/4 of an hour is equivalent to 45 minutes

then we have to add 5 hours and 45 minutes to 11.32 pm

add 5.45 to 11.32

11.32

5.45 +

-------

16.77

then its 16 hours and 77 minutes

an hour has only 60 minutes so we subtract 60 minutes from 77 minutes and add that hour to 16 hours

16 hours + 1 = 17 hours

77 minutes - 60 minutes = 17 minutes

17 hours 17 minutes

time is given in pm therefore its a 12 hour clock

so we have to subtract 12 hours from 17 hours 17 minutes

17.17 hours - 12 hours = 5.17

the new time is 5.17 am of the next day
