You are offered a chance to buy an asset for $200,500 that is expected to produce cash flows of $100,000 at the end of Year 1, $
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

What rate of return (IRR) would you earn if you bought this asset?

8,48%

Explanation:

To find the IRR it's necessary to know which is the discount rate that applied to the cash flow of the assets gives a value that compensate the investment of $200,500.

Year 1   $100.000  / (1+0,0848)^1    =  $92.182

Year 2   $100.000  / (1+0,0848)^2  =  $35.690

Year 3   $100.000  / (1+0,0848)^3  =   $41.398

Year 4   $100.000  / (1+0,0848)^4  =   $31.230

Total Present Value of Cash  Flow=

$92.182  + $35.690 + $41.398 + $31.230 =  $200,500

There is no way to find the IRR without Excel, the only way is to try with different rates in the current cash flow formula.

Unemployment and Labor Force Participation: Work It Out 1 of 3 Suppose the island nation of Freelandia is composed entirely of t
gtnhenbr [62]

Answer:

200

Explanation:

The labor force in an economy is composed of all adults able-bodied individuals who are employed or actively seeking employment. Employed people are those engaged in economic or income-generating activities.  Unemployed are jobless individuals who are actively seeking work.

In Freelandia, labor force participation will be composed of the employed and the unemployed people.  As per the definition of the labor force, children will not be included as they are not adults. Students and retired people are not seeking employment; hence should not be in the labor force. Therefore, the labor force will be 190 plus  10, which is 200.

Year 1 Year 2 Amounts billed to clients for services rendered $ 182,000 $ 232,000 Cash collected from clients 154,000 184,000 Ca
Advocard [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

Year 1:

Cash collected from clients $154,000

Salaries paid to employees for services rendered during the year $27,000

Utilities $84,000

Purchase of insurance policy $58,200

So, in order to find net cash flow, $(154000-27000-84000-58200)=-15200

Year 2:

Cash collected from clients $184,000

Salaries paid 34000

Utilities paid 94000

Insurance paid is 0

So, net cash flow $184000-$(34000+94000)=$56000

Year1 paid 27000 in salaries, accrued =32000

So still 5000 has to be paid in year 2

Year 2 paid 34000 ⇒ so accrued is 29000

Insurance accrued for each year is 58200/3=19400

Income statement for year 1 and 2

                                         year1   year2

Revenue:

Income from services 182000 232000

Expense

Salary 84000 94000

Utilities 32000 29000

Insurance 19400 19400

Net income 46600 89600
