This idea is revolutionary in 1405 because during this period, women were not given that much importance in terms of participating in the society. They were not allowed to pursue higher education because they were thought to have frail minds and too much learning could damage them. Women were probably the supporters of the idea while narrow minded men were against it.

Which of the following applies to the Kirby-Bauer test? Select all that apply.
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

2. Bacteria that have a zone of inhibition are considered susceptible to the tested drug.

3. Bacteria that lack a zone of inhibition are resistant to the tested drug.

4. This test determines if a bacterium is resistant to a specific antibacterial drug.

Explanation:

The Kirby-Bauer test is a technique used in laboratories to assess the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics. This is one of the most reliable sensitivity tests in the world and is used in several areas such as health, agriculture, zoology, among others.

The test is done by applying antibiotic discs to a petri dish containing culture medium and a growing bacterium. When the bacterium grows inside the plate, it is observed whether the antibiotic discs were able to cause zones of inhibition of this growth.

Bacteria that do not have zones of inhibition are considered resistant to antibiotics, whereas bacteria that have zones of inhibition are considered susceptible.
