Generally speaking, in 1776 the statement that all men are created equal referred to "white males,"--some would even argue only white males who owned property--although the spirt of the document was such that sometime in the future this would apply to a broader group.

Answer: The answer is damages

Explanation:

A remedy is a legal means to recover right or to obtain redress for a wrong done to the litigant by the respondent in a case brought before the court of law. In the English common law ,which is also applicable in the United States and most especially in a civil case a remedy can come in the following ways

Injunction :This is the order of a court, it is used by the court to refrain a party in a case from doing certain acts .it is a judicial remedy issued in order to prohibit a party from doing or continuing to do certain activities untill the determination of the case by a competent court of law hearing the case between the litigant and the respondent in the case.

Damages: This is the compensation for losses which the court had proved to have occurred and in which the court had made a pronouncement that the injured party in the case has the right to be compensated. The compensation so given by the court will be made in monetary terms, that is the court will award a certain amount of money to be paid to the injured party in the case.

Specific performance : This is the order of the court in which the court will rule that the contract between the parties in the case should be performed according to the terms of the contract. The court will use its power to ensure that the right of the injured party in the case is protected by the court.
