The correct answer is <em>"command economy"</em>, <em>"collectives"</em>, <em>"health care benefits"</em>, and <em>"price controls"</em>.

After the Second World War, the Soviet Union exercised strong political, ideological, and economic interest in the countries of Eastern Europe. Countries like Poland or Yugoslavia were governed by Communist regimes which put in practice this ideology's beliefs.

Communism proposes the creation of a strong central government who exercises a "command economy", in other words, the control of productive means, prices, investment and income of all economically related activities. The government also organized collectives, which were organized forms of distribution of the goods among the population. Finally, the government also controlled public services, such as education and healthcare.

1. How did England govern the 13 American colonies a century and a half after Jamestown?
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

England used the policies of <u>mercantilism </u>to maintain control in the colonies. The <u>central government administered its possessions for the economic benefit of the mother country.  </u>

Explanation:

Despite England didn't control its colonies like Portugal and Spain, the British Crown used the same polices as the Iberian Empires. Mercantilism is a mix of economical ideas and practices such as tax collection over exportation and importation, among other policies in order to maintain the control and to let the colonies know that England was close and operating. To work properly, Mercantilism should have an administrator in the colonies chosen by the Mother Country. That's the way England knew what was happening there.

Why was 1968 described as "The Year That Shattered America"?
hoa [83]

Answer:

Movements that had been building along the primary fault lines of the 1960s—the Vietnam War, the Cold War, civil rights, human rights, youth culture—exploded with force in 1968. The aftershocks registered both in America and abroad for decades afterward.
