Hi!

First, find the median of the original data set.

Arrange the numbers in order,
2, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 18, 20, 24
Then find the middle number.
2, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 18, 20, 24

Now add the number 10.
2, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 18, 20, 24
Find the new middle number.
2, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 18, 20, 24
                 7.5

The first median was 7, the new one is 7.5.

The median increases by 0.5.

Hope this helps! :)

How can you write 1,360/200 as a repeating decimal?
Alisiya [41]
1360/200

13.6/2

6.8

It is a finite decimal, but if you want repeating, there are zeroes that follow, like so:

6.8000000000000 . . . (and on to infinity)

Produce graphs of f that reveal all the important aspects of the curve. Then use calculus to find the following. (Enter your ans
zubka84 [21]
a) Intervals of increase is where the derivative is positive
b) Intervals of decrease is where the derivative is negative.

c) Inflection points of the function are where the graph changes concavity that is the point where the second derivative is zero

d)
Concave up- Second derivative positive
Concave down- second derivative negative

f(x) = 4x^4 − 32x^3 + 89x^2 − 95x + 31
f '(x) = 16x^3 - 96x^2 + 178x - 95
f "(x) = 48x^2 - 192x + 178

By rational root theorem the f '(x) has one rational root and factors to:
f '(x) = (2x - 5)*(8x^2 - 28x + 19)

Using the quadratic formula to find it's two irrational real roots.
The f "(x) = 48x^2 - 192x + 178 only has irrational real roots, use quadratic formula which will be the inflection points as well.

Determine if the two lines y = 2x - 3/2 and y = -2x + 2/3 are parallel, perpendicular or neither. Explain
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

Neither

Step-by-step explanation:

For two lines to be parallel, they must have the same slope. 2 and -2 are not the same. For lines to be perpendicular, their slopes must be negative reciprocals (ex 5 and -1/5) The slopes of these lines are not the same or negative reciprocals, so they are not parallel or perpendicular.
