    Gaius Julius Caesar, better known only as Julius Caesar, was an important Roman leader in the process of transition from the Republican model to the Empire. Born in 100 BC lived until 44 BC when he was murdered.

    Its administration was marked by an active expansionist campaign, where it conquered some important territories in Africa, Spain and brought Egypt into the possession of the Roman Empire. The latter becomes more important because Julius had an affair with the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. It did not sound good to the Romans who disapproved of such an emperor's involvement with a foreigner.

    Other actions also marked Julio's administration as various public works and the state's financial organization. We can also mention the right of citizenship for peoples from different regions of the great Roman empire and the creation and inclusion of July in the calendar in his own honor.
