The civilization that was nonexistent in pre-Aztec Mesoamerica was the Inuit.
The Inuit culture was not part of Mesoamerica. They were Native American Indians from the Arctic. They were nomads and gather-hunters that lived in that region of the Arctic and the Bering Sea.
The cultures that flourished in Mesoamerica were the Toltecs, the Olmecs, and the Aztecs, that inhabited the central territories of what today is Mexico. Many great pieces of archeology from these cultures are exhibited in the beautiful Anthropology museum in Mexico City.
