Answer:

The phrase As a chef, at the beginning of the second paragraph, establishes the author as having expertise on the topic of cooking. The correct answer is the second one.

Explanation:

Even if the phrase were at the beginning of the article, and not at the beginning of the second paragraph, it wouldn't mean that the article will use technical language related to cooking, nor that chefs are the intended audience of the article. The author might even start the whole article with that phrase in order to present him/herself and start talking about his/her life, that wouldn't mean the article is going to be about cooking. The phrase doesn’t establishes the author as a big celebrity either, since not every chef is one. That phrase at the beginning of the second paragraph only says about the author that he/she knows a lot about cooking and that he/she has experience in the topic.

Why the voting age should not be lowered to 16
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Anyone under 18 is not mature enough to participate in voting, or elections. Kids may not have as much knowledge in voting as adults. At 18, the legal voting age, you are expected to be mature enough, and have more knowledge in elections.

Hope this helps!

topjm [15]

Answer:

Having seen this question before, I believe it is B.

Explanation:

The moment of highest tension is the climax of the story. Cameron's father tells her to clean her room, signaling the introductory portion of the story (option A). Then Cameron finds a stopwatch to use to time herself after rummaging, signaling the rising action of the story (option C). Option B would be your climax, seeing as she started the stopwatch and raced on to cleaning. After that Cameron is cleaning her room, signaling your falling action (option D). Out of all the options, it makes the most sense.
