The conflict is the character is not happy and feels like not many people are happy and can stay happy where they are. The character is sad about the conflict.
"Has been waiting" should be your answer. a simple predicate is the verb or verb phrase in the sentence and it usually tells what the subject does.
Mae and Winnie are both girls, Mae is more free (she can go anywhere she wants to go,) and Mae is immortal. Winnie has to stay home listening to her mother.
