The correct answer is: "Gaining the right to vote enabled women to dominate Congress and pass equal rights legislation".

The 19th Amendment to the US Constitution was passed in 1919, during the presidency of Woodrow Wilson. It acknowledged voting rights for all US citizens, without discrimination in terms of gender, explicitly prohibiting that the states or the federal goverment could prevent any citizen from voting due to sex motives.

The enactment of the 19th amendment was the beggining of female participation in politics. From this moment onwards, women were able to vote, to become members of political parties and to run for different positions as candidates. As a consquence, many women entered in the public institutions, and became representatives that fought for equality of rights and the enactment of new legislation that ensured equal rights for men and women.

How were the three regions of the country divided economically, politically,
GalinKa [24]
The two sides of the debate over slavery were divided between the two main sections of the United States; the North and South. Many Northerners viewed slavery as evil and wrong and some were involved in the abolitionist movement. The North did not obey fugitive slave laws because they said they were cruel and inhumane. No states in the North allowed slavery and the North and the abolitionists who lived there harbored fugitive slaves and helped them escape to Canada along the Underground Railroad. In the South, on the other hand, the people said that slavery was necessary to their way of life even though the majority of southerners did not even own slaves. Those who did own slaves, said slavery was good for the slaves because they were cared for in every way and given a job and that slavery was good for the slave owners because it allowed southern whites to achieve a high level of culture.

16. If anyone receive into his house a runaway male or female slave of the court, or of a freedman, and does not bring it out at
Nutka1998 [239]

Explanation:

If you bring a runaway slave into your home and don't report it, the head of the household will be put to death. I'm guessing that during the time, kidnapping people for more labor work to be done was illegal, especially when it was done without permission by The Public Proclomation of the Major Domus.

The Way Society Changed:

Before the law was passed, this would be done constantly to keep possessions they didn't want to trade or to save currency (whatever currency was at the time). After it was passed, people had to start notifying the PPMD about the enslavements so their heads won't get hacked off.

What I would do:

I would do the right thing and just tell them "Hey can i have this slave?" and they'd go "Okay whatever" and I wouldn't get my head chopped off.

Hope this helps, man.
