I would say the answer is A. Kongo.  Portuguese prefered to become allies with this region.  For this reason the Kongo king used Portuguese teachers and skillsmen to help his peopl.  Catholic missionaris were allowed to work among the people.

The Portuguese explorers were the first Europeans to arrive at Kongo in the end of the 15th century. Many Portuguese priests and missionaries went to the Kingdom of Kongo to Christianize the native population. As a result of that process, the king Nzinga a Nkuwu and the main noblemen converted to Christianity. The king took the name of Juan I and his son, Alfonso I, established Christianity as the official religion of the state.
