The crusades also known as the holy war were a series of wars constituted by the European church. It was mostly a failure. The first crusade was successful
Yay but the second third fourth and fifth ones were major flops except wait for it Richard the lionheart who’s nemesis Saladin as he is known because his name is impossible to remember fought a series of battles most of which ended in a draw. This did nothing to establish Christian control of the holy land
