A Prime Number is a number that you can only get by multiplying it by itself and 1. A Composite Number is a number that has more than one way to get the the solution. Examples: Prime: 17. only way to get it is 1×17 Composite: 15. 1×15 obviously. also 3×5
A Prime Number can be divided evenly only by 1 or itself. And it must be a whole number greater than 1. It is a Composite Number when it can be divided evenly by numbers other than 1 or itself.
