Strabismus is a physical incapacity of the eye alignment. Some results show that hyperopia, anisometropia, astigmatism, and amblyopia are correlated with the presence of strabismus. It also presents the currency of strabismus through its relation to ocular signs and visual impairment. This also associates with premature babies.

The three clinical findings noted with strabismus are:

  • Hyperopia
  • Anisometropia
  • Astigomatism.

Further Explanation:

The defect of alignment of the eyes while looking at an object is known as strabismus. This condition can be present either constantly or occasionally. Amylopia is a resulting condition if the strabismus defect is present in a large portion of the childhood. Double vision occurs if this defective condition occurs during the adulthood. The causes of strabasimus are; trauma or infections, problems in the brain, far sightedness, dysfunction of the muscles etc.

This disease can be caused by premature birth, family history of the same defect and also the cerebral palsy.

The clinical findings of strabasimus are:

  • Hyperopia: This condition occurs when the person is not able to focus and see the far objects clearly. This term is often used interchangeably with hypermetropia. The extra elongation of the eyeball is the main cause of the disease.
  • Anisometropia: The unequal refractive power of the two eyes can lead to this condition. The combination of nearsightedness and farsightedness results in the condition of anisometropia.
  • Astigomatism: The irregular shape of the cornea can cause the blurred vision which is the characteristic feature of astigmatism. This condition is also possible due to irregular curvature of the lens.

Therefore, strabismus is the disease that can lead to several other ocular aberrations and visual impairment.

To reduce the exposure to air pollution, indoor and outdoor one can check the quality of air at his location. To reduce inside or indoor one should clean the house frequently to avoid the growth of mold or prevent dust in the house.

For outdoor, using cars, bikes, and other fuel-based transport vehicles can lead to an increase in air pollution so one should use walking or mechanical transport means. Industrialized chimneys produce harmful carbon and nitrogen gases which should be limited to reduce.
