You should already know that:

tan\theta = \frac{sin\theta}{cos\theta}

Plugging that in we get:

cos\theta + sin\theta (\frac{sin\theta}{cos\theta}) =\\\\cos\theta +\frac{sin^2\theta}{cos\theta}

Multiply the cos theta by cos theta on the numerator and denominator so we can add them :)

(cos\theta \times \frac{cos\theta}{cos\theta})+\frac{sin^2\theta}{cos\theta} = \\\\\frac{cos^2\theta}{cos\theta} + \frac{sin^2\theta}{cos\theta}=\\\\\frac{cos^2\theta + sin^2\theta}{cos\theta}

You should also know the identity that cos^2 theta + sin^2 theta = 1

\frac{cos^2\theta + sin^2\theta}{cos\theta} = \\\\\frac{1}{cos\theta}

Therefore,

cos\theta + sin\theta tan\theta = \boxed{\frac{1}{cos\theta}}

Can someone who is eligible help me with this.?
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of one cube = ½×½×½ = ⅛ cm³

volume of prism = 5×3×6 = 90 cm³

90/(⅛) = 720 cubes to fill the prism.

volume of bottom layer of cubes = 5×3×½ = 7.5 cm³

7.5/(⅛) = 60 cubes on the bottom layer

Each layer is ½ cm in height

6 cm × (1 layer)/(½ cm) = = 12 layers

perimeter = 2×5 + 2×3 = 16 cm

When you substitute a value for x or y, you are x or y with a value.
Hitman42 [59]

Step-by-step explanation:

See whenever we have two variables like x and y.

And also we have given two equations in terms of x and y.

Example: ax + by = p  and cx + dy = q

In order to get the solution, we need to find the value of x and y using the given two equations.

So here what we can do is:

Consider any one equation and get x or y from that equation.

i.e consider ax + by = p  or x = \frac{1}{a}*(p-by)

Now plug value of x (or y) from the equation you have considered into the another equation.

i.e c(\frac{1}{a}*(p-by))+dy = q

Now solve this equation to get y (or x).

and after that we can find the other variable.
