These Communist endeavors were disarmed by the Social-democrat party that was driving the new Weimar Republic that succeeded the Prussian Empire.  

Hungary fell to the Communists in 1919, it was a transient Communist organization that endured from April to August of that year. Hungary fell again under a Communist government in 1949, when the Hungarian People's Republic was built up affected by the Soviet Union.
