Answer:

Through his first six years in office, Franklin Roosevelt spent much of his time trying to bring the United States out of the Great Depression. The President, however, certainly did not ignore America's foreign policy as he crafted the New Deal. Roosevelt, at heart, believed the United States had an important role to play in the world, an unsurprising position for someone who counted Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson among his political mentors. But throughout most of the 1930s, the persistence of the nation's economic woes and the presence of an isolationist streak among a significant number of Americans (and some important progressive political allies) forced FDR to trim his internationalist sails. With the coming of war in Europe and Asia, FDR edged the United States into combat. Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, however, brought the United States fully into the conflict.

The sale of indulgences by the Church and the belief in predestination are the disagreements that Martin Luther had with the Catholic church.

<h3><u>Explanation:</u></h3>

Although, Martin Luther is said to have his fair share of arguments against the Catholic Church, the one that started it all was his disagreement to the fact that people could by indulgences through the Church.

Put simply, indulgences refer to the remission before god, for the temporal punishment caused by the sins which have their guilt already forgiven. This was known to be the subject of the 95 Theses. Martin Luther is also credited with the rise of democracy with secular beliefs among many other of his works, although his many concerns dealt with theology.

Martin Luther did not believe in Predestination since the word is commonly understood.  It happens only due to individuals will and faith. Only the God’s sovereign will alone determines who will be saved.
