Svet_ta [14]
Developing countries host more than one-third of international migrants in the world. Most immigrants are migrant workers and are employed either formally or more often informally in their countries of destination. Immigration thus plays a key role in the destination countries’ economic development. A number of low- and middle-income countries, however, lack evidence and awareness of how immigrants can contribute to different segments of the economies and very few have developed and implemented appropriate policy frameworks. A large informal economy associated with weak labour migration management capacities and a lack of active labour market policies prevent many destination countries from making the most of immigration

Okay, I'll give a few examples. Sorry if these seem a bit weak.

1: Whenever I was younger, my grandmother taught me to sew by hand. Her decision to educate me on that field affected me in the long term. I'm still sewing to this day, and it's an incredibly useful skill to have.

2: A local musician in my area gave me a signed guitar pick five years ago. That inspired me to start playing stringed instruments.

3: One of the local librarians asked if I would volunteer at the library. I accepted. The volunteer work gave me a lot of useful leadership and communication skills.

That's all I've got.

Read the excerpt from a short story.
Galina-37 [17]

Answer:

The excerpt exemplifies the ideas King describes in "Danse Macabre" because It forces readers to “grapple” with their own mortality.

Explanation:

In this excerpt the character is facing his own sudden confrontation to death, this makes the readers face their own mortality by relating to the story an come to think that world and life are unpredictable and everyone in a certain moment would be in the moment before the end.
