The process of informational listening focuses on the ability of an individual to understand a speaker's message. It is a huge part of everyday life, and failing to understand the concept of informational listening can be very detrimental to one's quality of life and to their contribution to society. Critical listening is a form of listening that if usually not mentioned, since it involves analysis, critical thinking and judgment. Making judgments during listening is often considered as a barrier to understand a person, and there's a lot of truth in that. ... You listen, AND you evaluate.

Character: Juliet

A. What would you do differently?

In the main plot, Juliet can not fall in love with Romeo, that love is forbidden and no matter how hard they try, no one will allow it. Juliet is forced to marry the Count of Paris and it is here when she carries out the plan of drinking a postage that makes her look dead until Romeo comes for her and they escape together.

If I were Juliet I would never have taken the poster without knowing if it really worked or not, it was a really risky decision, I had to try it first with an animal, in addition, if I were Julieta I would have waited for Romeo's response, even though Romeo was very much in love with Juliet, it was a decision that the two should make and agree with.

Because Juliet did not make sure that Romeo received her message (he never received it) the whole plan failed and Romeo, believing that Julieta was dead, drank the poison and died at her side, when she wakes up she can not stand what was happening and killed herself with a dagger. If I were Juliet I would not have committed suicide in this way, committing suicide would not solve any of the problems or revive Romeo. I would have tried to revive Romeo till the end, take him to the nurse or someone who could help him.

What would you do just as the character did?

If I were Juliet and I was in the dilemma of falling in love with someone my family hated I would have done the same as her, I would have also fought for the love I felt, I would have challenged my family because even though they' re my parents, the right to love who I love is only mine. I would also have tried to escape with Romeo but I would have planned it better.

B. Write a modern-day scene based off that character and story. Will this character’s differences define him/her? Or, will he/she expand beyond those differences?

If Romeo and Julieta were developed at the present time many of the conversations would be through chat messages and it would be something like this:

Mr. Montesco: Juliet, I already told you that I will not allow you to go out with that filthy son of the Montagues. You know that they are the worst neighbors we can have, I hate them and they hate us.

Juliet: But dad!! Romeo and I really love each other, we are not interested in the conficts that our relatives have

.

Mr. Montesco: Of course not Juliet! He does not love you, surely it's just another deceit from the Montagues

Juliet cries with rage and goes to her room and starts chatting with Romeo

Juliet: Hello Romeo! I have already discussed with my father about our relationship but this will be impossible. But do not worry, a few days ago I was reviewing a page on the internet called the friar of a scientist named Lawrence, in one of his blogs he gives a recipe for a magic juice that will leave me asleep for 48 hours, my parents will not know, you can come for me and we will escape together to Matua to be happy.

But Juliet didn't know that Romeo lost his cell phone while playing soccer with his friends and never saw the message

In this last scene I re-create what would be the final part of Romeo and Juliet, feel free to add more things.

I honestly think that if Romeo and Juliet happened today it would be very different: D What do you think?

Use the paragraph to answer the question.Coach Nash was interviewed by Harper Grace, editor of the online school newspaper. The
tangare [24]

The sentence in the paragraph that uses the active voice is:

1. The team collected statistics on every shot made and attempted.

 • The two types of voices in which a sentence can be written are active voice and passive voice.

 • Options 2, 3, and 4 of the question all use the passive voice. That means the subject of those sentences is not the performer of the action indicated by the verb.
 • In the passive voice, the action is performed by an agent, which comes after the word "by" in the sentence.
 • The structure of the passive voice is: subject + to be + main verb (past participle) + by + agent.
 • Example: Sheila was contacted by her boss.

 • On the other hand, option 1 uses the active voice. That means the subject is the performer of the action indicated by the verb.
 • In the active voice, it is the object who receives the action of the verb. The subject is the one doing it.
 • The structure of the active voice is: subject + verb + object.
 • Example: Sheila's boss contacted her.

In conclusion, the sentence "The team collected statistics on every shot made and attempted," in option 1, uses the active voice.

Is the repetition of the words "He has" an example of
Igoryamba

Answer:

C. Anaphora

Explanation:

An analogy is a comparison of things using figurative language/imagery. So Choice A is incorrect.

Logos is a persuasive technique. It appeals to people's logic. The phrase "He has" doesn't appeal to logic. So Choice B is incorrect.

Parallelism means a close connection between two things/two things that mirror each other. "He has" does not parallel anything. So Choice D is incorrect.

A Red Herring is a misleading or false statement meant to negate or confuse the audience. This doesn't make sense in terms of "He has," so Choice E is incorrect.

By process of elimination, we're left with C. Anaphora. An anaphora is the repetion of a word or phrase at the start of several sentences. This makes sense and is the most logical answer.
