The correct answer is D. Most of its people have the same ethnic background.

Explanation:

Japan is an island country located in the Pacific Ocean and that is part of Asia. This country is formed by multiple islands and recognized for its role in economy and technology nowadays. In terms of demography, Japan is one of the most populated countries with around 127 million but despite Japanese population is large it is mainly a homogenous population, as around the 98% of people that lives in Japan are native from Japan and considered Yamato people or people from the ethnic Japanese group. This means, in Japan, most people belong to the same ethnic group although the around the 1% of the population has other origins, this includes Koreans, Chinese, Americans, and Filipinos. Therefore, Japan is considered as a homogenous country because most of its people have the same ethnic background.

If the speaker is using the pronoun "I," that means they must be telling the story in the first person. They appear in the story and tell it from their own point of view.
