Which 4 of these are actual ecosystem services?
ipn [44]

The actual ecosystem services include the following:

 • pollination of crops by bees

 • land stabilization by plants

 • production of carbon dioxide

 • flood control

That is option 2, 3, 5, 6.

What is ecosystem services?

Ecosystem is defined as the system that consists of both living and non living things that work together to form a stable environment.

Ecosystem services are defined as those direct and indirect contributions of ecosystems to human wellbeing, which have an impact on their survival and quality of life.

The ecosystem services are made up of the following:

 • provisioning,

 • Regulating: These regulating services include pollination of crops by bees, land stabilization by plants, production of carbon dioxide and flood control.

 • cultural and

 • supporting services.

Black coat color in horses is conferred by the presence of a dominant B allele. Chestnut horses are genotype bb. A population of
AysviL [449]

Answer:

Frequency of B allele is 0.6681

Explanation:

If p represents the frequency of dominant allele and q represents the frequency of recessive allele, according to Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium:

p + q = 1

p² + 2pq + q² = 1

where p² = frequency of homozygous dominant genotype

q² = frequency of homozygous recessive genotype

2pq = frequency of heterozygous genotype

Given that number of recessive chestnut horse = 28

Total horses = 226 + 28 = 254

frequency of b² genotype = 28/254 = 0.1102

frequency of recessive b allele = √0.1102 = 0.3319

So, frequency of B allele =

1 - 0.3319 = 0.6681

Hence frequency of B allele is 0.6681

Explain the relationship between mutations, adaptations, natural selection, and extinctio
vladimir1956 [14]
Mutations are like genetic mutations. Say a bird species may usually have a orange beak but one bird was born with blue, that’s a mutation.
Adaptations are things you adapt to like plant species have adapted over the year to receive less and less water to live.
Natural selection is basically ‘killing off’ the weaker ones. Say a bird species has broad wings but mutations happened over time leading them to have small wings that do not allow flight, they may eventually all die off due to that. Extinction is if al those birds were to die off from that mutation.

The pedigree shows the inheritance of an autosomal recessive disorder. What is the genotype of Steve and Sonya's son?
FromTheMoon [43]

Answer:

The answer is pp

Explanation:

Steve and Sonya's son genotype is pp. Because an inheritance of autosomal recessive disorder is with recessive allele responsible for the exceptional phenotype. In this case, Steve and Sonya are both heterozygotes, Pp, which means they both have a p allele because each one gave the boy a p, contributing to affect his son. And since we are talking about inheritance of an autosomal disorder, we know that the parents phenotypic proportions are the same.
