First you want to organize the numbers in order to find the median so it should look like this: 14, 28, 42, 56. Then you want to find the one in the middle. But oh wait there are TWO in the middle so add 42 and 28 up 70 then divide it by 2 which equals your median of 35.

The expression below represents the number of bacteria in a petri dish after t hours. Interpret the meaning of the expression.
konstantin123 [22]

The answer is B) The initial number of bacteria is 57, and the growth rate is 31% per hour.

The expression shown is an exponential expression. An exponential expression usually takes the form ab^{x}, as this one does. A represents the initial value, in this case-the initial number of bacteria. B represents the growth rate. When it is an increasing growth rate, it will begin with 1, because it will have everything it had before, plus the percent increase, the decimal portion. In this case, a=57, and b=0.31.

Hope this makes sense!

Tell whether (-1,2) is a solution of 8x+y>-6
harina [27]

Answer:

Not a solution.

Step-by-step explanation:

(x, y)

(-1, 2)

Substitute the x and y values in the expression with the point given.

8x + y > -6

8(-1) + 2 > -6

-8 + 2 > -6

-6 > -6

Since our final value has to be greater than -6 but is instead equal to -6, the solution is not true.

How to solve all of this
photoshop1234 [79]
Start circle: πd = (3.14)(19) = 59.7

Move diagonally to the circle with the radius of 6.2.

Second circle: 2πr = 2(3.14)(6.2) = 39

Move upwards to the circle with the radius of 10.5

third circle: 2πr = 2(3.14)(10.5) = 66

Move right to the circle with the diameter of 16.6

Fourth circle: πd = (3.14)(16.6) = 52.2

Move down to the circle with the diameter of 7.7

fifth circle: πd = (3.14)(7.7) = 24.2

Move down to the circle with the diameter of 50

Sixth circle: πd = (3.14)(50) = 157.1

Move left to the circle with the radius of 11.8

Seventh circle: 2πr = 2(3.14)(11.8) = 74.1

Move down to the circle with the radius of 38

Eight circle: 2πr = 2(3.14)(38) = 238.8

Move right to the circle with the diameter of 1.1

ninth circle: πd = (3.14)(1.1) = 3.5

Move right to the circle with the radius of 14.8

10th circle = 2πr = 2(3.14)(14.8) = 93

Move up to the end.

Hope this helps :)
