The involvement of America in the Vietnamwar was not the beginning, it had started right after the World War II. During this time the US was involved in the Vietnam War with complete commitment. The US commitment owed to a number of factors. Some of these factors were in direct relation to the then US involvement in the Vietnam War. For instance, the colonial history of French Indochina, the US-Japan war in the Pacific, and so on. America helped the war with military supplies, and financial assistance. But the primary motive of the US was to stop the Communist expansion in Indochina.
