Great plains farming signified an agricultural revolution because industrialization took both the transportation and production of agricultural products to a much larger scale.

Railroads made cattle farming, among other agricultural products, much more profitable, as farmers/ranchers were able to ship their products around the country. 

Industrialization also lead to devices that could increase the scale and speed of agriculture, and also caused corporations to become involved in large-scale production/
