Why is it A? well because the cartoon was an optimistic presentation of what many in the North thought before the war started. But it was inaccurate since the war dragged on for years and involved fierce fighting on both sides. The cartoon was intended to calm Northern fears about the coming conflict.

Parliament felt that the colonies hadn’t been contributing enough tax-wise which is true since the colonies had enjoyed salutary neglect prior to the French and Indian War.
