Both war gave the people in both countries rights. The divine right of the kings was taken away. In England the people got a bill of rights and in France a constitution. The French king was killed (not replaced) and the English king was driven out of the country and his daughter and son in law became king and queen.
The New Republic was very successful in implementing the goals of the revolution.
The goals of the revolution were the following:

- Create a new <u>system of self-governance.</u>
- Claim<u> equal rights for all citizens</u> and establish the rule of law required for that to be meaningful.

- Rid themselves of<u> tyranny</u>
After is was created, United States of America had not fully achieved the five goals described, however, its primary goals (Achieving independence and ridding themselves of tyranny) had been accomplished by 1789.
