Answer:Correct B

s + j = 32

s − j = 4

s = seniors

j = juniors

total students signing up is 32 → s + j = 32

four more seniors sign up than juniors → s − 4 = j → s − j = 4

When the system is solved: s + j = 32 and s − j = 4.

When the system s + j = 32, s − j = 4 is solved: s = 18 and j = 14

s + j = 18 + 14 = 32

hope this helps

There is a total of 32 students, so the sum of the numbers of seniors and juniors must be 32:

s+j=32

There are 4 more seniors than juniors, so the difference between the two must be 4:

s-j=4

2) The two rectangles shown are similar.
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

6\ cm

Step-by-step explanation:

First Rectangle:

length(l_1)=24\ cm\\\\Width(b_1)=9\ cm

Second Rectangle:

length(l_2)=16\ cm\\\\Let\ Width=b_2\ cm

Since\ these\ two\ rectangles\ are\ similar\\\\\frac{l_2}{l_1}=\frac{b_2}{b_1}\\\\\frac{16}{24}=\frac{b_2}{9}\\\\16\times 9=24\times b_2\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ cross\ multiplication\\\\b_2=\frac{16\times 9}{24}\\\\b_2=6\ cm
