A table has five bowls. None of the quantities in the bowls are prime, though the last two bowls are empty. Two of the quantitie

Since two of the quantities are squares and the sum of all of three is equal 21, then the possible values of those two quantities are: 1,4,9,16

Let's consider each possibility

1 and 4

21-1-4=16, but 16 is also square and there can be only two square so NO

1 and 9

21-1-9=11, but 11 is prime, so NO

1 and 16

21-1-16=4... 4 is a square ,so NO

4 and 9

21-4-9=8 , 8 is not prime and not a square, so YES

4 and 16

21-4-16=1, but 1 is a square ,so NO

9 and 16

9+16=25>21 so.. NO

<u>Therefore, the amounts in the first three bowls are 4,8,9.</u>

Answer:

  4/25

Step-by-step explanation:

Put the numbers where the letters are and do the arithmetic.

  \left(2\cdot\dfrac{-1}{2}\cdot\dfrac{2}{5}\right)^2=\left(\dfrac{-2}{5}\right)^2=\dfrac{(-2)^2}{5^2}=\boxed{\dfrac{4}{25}}

some psychologists believe that a genius should be defined as anyone having an IQ over 140. If IQ scores are normally distribute
denis23 [38]

Answer:

61,239,550

Step-by-step explanation:

We let the random variable X denote the IQ scores. This would imply that X is normal with a mean of 100 and standard deviation of 17. We proceed to determine the probability that an individual chosen at random from the population would be a genius, that is;

Pr( X>140)

The next step is to evaluate the z-score associated with the IQ score of 140 by standardizing the random variable X;

Pr(X>140)=Pr(Z>\frac{140-100}{17})=Pr(Z>2.3529)

The area to the right of 2.3529 will be the required probability. This area from the standard normal tables is 0.009314

From a population of 6,575,000,000 the number of geniuses would be;

6,575,000,000*0.009314 = 61,239,550

Alexxandr [17]
Across the y axis. This question becomes easier if you graph it out in your head. Let's say the bank is at (2,2). Because the grocery store has an opposite x coordinate, the bank would be at (-2,2). If you look at this in your head, they are not even on different sides of the x axis, and therefore must be reflected across the y axis.
