The renal medulla is made for the most part out of gathering channels and the nephron circles. You won't perceive any glomeruli in the medulla, as they are restricted to the cortex. This makes the renal cortex and renal medulla effortlessly recognizable.

A Mother who is homozygous for Huntington's disease and a father who is homozygous normal want to have a baby. What genotypes an
natita [175]

Answer: The possible genotype for their child is Hh. All the children will be heterozygous for Huntington (Hh).

The possible phenotype for their child is Huntington disease.

Explanation: If H represents the trait for Huntington and h represents normal trait; and if Huntington trait (H) is dominant over normal trait (h), therefore the genotype of the mother who is homozygous for Huntington disease is HH and the genotype of the man who is homozygous normal is hh.

A cross between the man and woman will produce offsprings who are all heterozygous for Huntington disease Hh. Phenotypically, the offsprings will manifest as Huntington disease.

An artificial cell has is made up of 30% sugar and 70% water. It is placed in a solution
Molodets [167]

Answer:

It will shrink because it was placed in a hyper tonic solution

Explanation: Hyper tonic = More solute (sugar)

Hypo tonic = more liquid (water)

When a cell is placed in a solution it will essentially try to balance out so in this case water goes out the cell and solute goes, in shrinking the cell.

When an organism has died, the ratio of C-14 to C-12 _____ over time.
Mrrafil [7]
The answer is C. decreases.

C-14 and C-12 are carbon isotopes used to measure the approximate age of organic remains. C-12 is stable, and it does not break down into other elements over time. C-14 is not stable. It breaks down into N-14.

Organisms can incorporate C-14 into their bodies during the life. But when the die, C-14 is not incorporated anymore. After organisms' death, C-12 will remain stable, but C-14 will start to breaks down into N-14. So, it will be less C-14 and C-12 will remain the same. The ratio of C-14 to C-12 must decrease over time.
