The surface area of a cone is A= \pi r^{2}+ \pi r \sqrt{ h^{2} + r^{2} }. Lateral area is A= \pi r \sqrt{ r^{2} + h^{2} }. Here \sqrt{ h^{2} + r^{2} } is a slant height.

Using this information we can write that 60 \pi =10 \pi r and r=6 cm

The volume of the sphere is given by V= \frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3}. If we calculate it, we'll obtain V=288 \pi

Each of the teams in a mixed volleyball league consists of 5 men and 5 women. there are 9 men and 10 women, including julia, who
IRISSAK [1]

Using the combination formula, it is found that 15,876 teams would include Julia.

The order in which the people are chosen to the team is not important, hence the combination formula is used to solve this question.

<h3>What is the combination formula?</h3>

C_{n,x} is the number of different combinations of x objects from a set of n elements, given by:

C_{n,x} = \frac{n!}{x!(n-x)!}

In this problem:

  • 5 men are chosen from a set of 9.
  • 4 women are chosen from a set of 9(as Julia is already on the team).

Hence the number of teams is given by:

C_{9,5} \times C_{9,4} = \frac{9!}{5!4!} \times \frac{9!}{5!4!} = 15876

A shop is having a 10% off sale. Find the sale price of a cap which normally costs $12?
Ganezh [65]

Answer:  $10.8

Step-by-step explanation:  To do this, we need to find 90% of $12 because the cap is 10% off. We can do this by multiplying 12 by 0.9.  12 x0.9 = 10.8.
