Answer:

D) Both are more brilliant and athletic than anyone else.

Explanation:

Harrison Bergeron is a short story written by Kurt Vonnegut where the government wants to create a society where everyone is equal and so the government decides to find young people who are beautiful, athletic and intelligent to create that society.

Among these young men, Harrison Bergeron is the most handsome, athletic, strong and brave young man; and a girl named Ballerina is the most beautiful, graceful and talented of all the dancers. Both young people want to live unimpeded without the need to obey the laws of government. For this reason they are punished that things do not prohibit them from using their superior skills, ie as both are the most beautiful, strong, intelligent and athletic, they are required to wear huge headphones and glasses to leave them with the bad vision and tremendous headaches, make-up that transfigure their beauties, and so many weights to compensate for their prodigious strength that makes them barely able to move.

lilavasa [31]

D. it clearly connects ideas

Parallelism is when the same grammatical or sentence structure is used for a list of ideas or items. By using a similar grammatical structure the reader's brain automatically makes a connection between the ideas because of the similar structure. Caesar's famous line "I came. I saw. I conquered." is an example of parallelism. Each of the sentences has the format subject-past tense verb.
