apex refers to the highest point or vertex of a plant stem or root. The shoot apex is where fresh stems, leaves, and other parts of a plant grow after the old parts fall off or dry up.

Explanation:In experiments conducted plants with the apex grows and its height increase while the height of the plant without the apex does not change. In another experiment plant with the apex grows towards the direction of sunlight which is positive phototropic movement and the plant without the apex does not turn towards light.therefore we can conclude there is an effect of the apex on the growth of a plant.

Which type of erosion can place a boulder in the middle of a field?
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

Plucking

ExplantionPlucking is the method through which erosion happens during glaciations. The movement of ice and glaciers scrapes along the rock that surrounds it while pulling ways the pieces of the foundation that results in corrosion.

Glacier causes erosion in two ways it can be either by plucking or abrasion, plucking occurs when the sediments pick up the glacier. They then freeze below the glacier thus being always carried by ice when it is flowing. Abrasion happens when the glaciers scrapes towards the earth’s service.
