Explanation:
Executive Order 9981 of July 26, 1948, was the order that was issued by President Harry. S. Truman of the United States of America which abolished segregation in the U.S armed force. Prior to the issuance of this order, service in the U.S armed force was characterized by a high rate of discrimination and segregation on the basis of race, color, religion and national. The Blacks in the U.S military operated under a rule which was radically different from that which governed the Whites in the U.S armed force. For instance, while the Blacks had to wait for 4 years before the could commence combat training, the Whites commenced combat training within months of their qualification. Also, the blacks were not allowed to enjoy certain privileges that were open to the Whites in the U.S armed force. The advent of the order brought an end to racial segregation and discrimination in the U.S military. The order promoted equality in the force.

Hello there!
The reason why so many Indians died during the Indian removal was because the thousand mile journey they took to the Indian territory was deadly, due to the lack of support from the government. This would be known as the "Trail of Tears."
This journey that the Indians took was by walk, they didn't have cars or airplanes during the time, so they were forced out of their own land to the Indian territory, which was thousands of miles away form where they were settled. In the walk, they mostly walked barefooted, and were chained to each other. During the walk to the Indian territory, they mostly encountered starvation, thirst, and no help from the government. They weren't supplied any food, or other supplies to help them through the journey, which caused thousands of deaths in the journey, and only a few survived. This showed that the government didn't care for the people. That's why it's known as the "Trail of Tears" and "Death."
