Given : 2(x - 3) + 21 = -3

⇒ 2x - 6 + 21 = -3

⇒ 2x + 15 = -3

⇒ 2x = -3 - 15

⇒ 2x = -18

⇒ x \bf{= \frac{-18}{2}}

⇒ x = -9
